Amen Hall, a dormitory opened in 1925 and named after the school's 7th principal, Harlan P. Amen (1895 - 1913). The small stone column in the foreground has a sundial on its top.

The ruins of the old Dunbar Hall after it was destroyed by fire on April 10, 1907. It was replaced by the new Dunbar Hall (made of brick) on September 16, 1908.

Williams House became the Academy's first "experiment" in dormitory living on August 24, 1852. The rooms themselves were free, but board was $1.42 per week.

Thompson Science Building

The Thompson Science Building was a gift of William Boyce Thompson, class of 1890.

The building was opened on September 23, 1931.

Soule Hall

Soule Hall, a boys' dormitory named after principal Gideon Lane Soule, was opened on September 12, 1894.

The image also shows Abbot Hall (boys' dormitory) just beyond Soule Hall, and the third Academy Building.
